"I had so much swelling and discomfort in my neck from past injuries that I had trouble even moving it. The acupuncture sessions that I have had have been pleasant and have relieved the swelling and pain so much that I have referred several people to your office. I have tried to get other doctors to refer me to an acupuncturist but all they wanted to do is give me muscle relaxers, pain pills, physical therapy or I have been told that it is arthritis and to learn to live with it. I am so pleased and happy with the customer service, care and treatment that I would not change anything."  Robert M.

Assessment & Treatment
Our Approach

     Herbal & Nutritional Medicine

     Acupuncture

Our goal is not simply symptom relief.  Our programs include corrective care as well to increase the chances      of long term or permanent resolution of your pain.

We begin with a thorough review of your history and medical records, and review any supplements, herbs and medications you are currently taking.  We discuss diet, stress and any other factors that might have a contributing role in your pain.  We listen carefully to you in order to better understand the cause(s) of your pain, thereby allowing for effective treatment.

A physical exam will be completed, and if needed, a medical thermogram of involved areas to help rule out other causes and to better understand your pain and your bodies response to pain.  To learn more about thermograms click here.

After identifying possible causes of your pain, we will take steps to eliminate them.
  • Herbal and nutritional medicine will be utilized as indicated.  These are safe and effective treatments.  For additional information click here.
  • Acupuncture is a safe and effective treatment that will generally rapidly begin reducing your pain, and with a course of treatment, greatly enhance the probability of long term treatment success.
  •  Stress management classes will be available for general health improvement, but also to address any stress related component causing increased physical tension, pain and headaches in your life.  Classes are taught by Shelly Jacobs, MA, LPA.  Shelly is a practicing psychotherapist and is extensively trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).  She is a past adjunct professor of psychology.

  • Yoga classes for stretching, joint and muscle health

  • Detoxification strategies

  • Exercise classes to address specific complaints.  For example, exercises specific to low back pain.
